We’re looking for our very first Executive Director to enhance our role and impact in the UK and the international dance scene.
Salary: £50,000-£60,000 pa
Location: Based in the Midlands
Join us and you will provide executive leadership for our work covering our programme of touring, audience development, dance education and talent advancement, as well as forge links with partners for whom international dance can complement their aspirations. You will lead the team of DC contractors, leverage the unique experience and expertise of members, explore opportunities for new initiatives and partnerships, and develop our educational role. You will also encourage a more proactive approach to fund-raising. Important will be your ability to keep abreast of developments and trends in the dance industry and associated arts guaranteeing our role as a proactive player within the sector and the establishment of the Midlands as a dance hub.
An experienced arts manager, you are a confident advocate for international dance and have a strong understanding of the issues facing large scale theatre venues and audience development in UK. You have a record of providing strong but facilitative and collaborative leadership and can demonstrate a strong awareness of and commitment to serving diverse audiences. An effective communicator, you have excellent financial planning, analytical and negotiation skills as well as a network of relevant contacts in arts and cultural policy arenas. Critically you are committed to the value of dance as an artform and industry.
